The Area Rugs & Mats page is a Home Decor category page on the Lowes.com website. The re-fresh of this page included a hero design, custom icon creation, an inline banner design and photo selection. Assets for this page were carefully crafted and sized for desktop and mobile to ensure the page is optimized for viewing on different devices.

Hero Design
The hero was purposefully designed to visually allude to the border design featured in many types of rugs. I selected imagery, incorporated our brand colors and standard CTA button, and ensured ADA compliance across the board.
Iconography
I created custom iconography in accordance with existing icon standards. Each rug icon was created in proportion to the others to ensure the visuals are representative of different rug and mat sizes. Each graphic was created to demonstrate the different typical uses of a variety of rug and mat sizes.
Image Selection
For the Shop Rugs & Mats by Room section, I carefully selected images of rugs I felt best visually communicated the room they were meant to represent. I searched through thousands of images in our database to find the perfect ones and ensured they all had a similar orientation and paired well together.
Banner & Pricing Section
Designed a Stainmaster Banner featuring two of our private brands (Allen + Roth and Origin21). Brought in elements and colors of the Stainmaster brand, while ensuring approved usage of the private brand logos (on white only). Ensured consistent application of the new value tags in this Shop by Price section.

Selected 4 rugs per color to display the variety of rug colors and patterns available to purchase.
